Junior CAD Technician

We are seeking a full-time, Junior CAD Technician to join our team.

You will be working in our brand new, open-plan studio located at Strathcona Village, close to downtown. Your colleagues will be a CAD Team Lead, the Interior Design team and the Principals of the firm.

Expectations for this Junior CAD position:

  • Construction documentation and detailing: Interior floor & finishes plans, interior elevations, RCP's, furniture layouts, millwork sections and details will be required

  • Solid understanding of interior construction details, preferred

  • Provide support to our Interior Design team by producing precise interior construction drawings

  • Ability to coordinate work with Design/CAD team.

  • An understanding of accessibility guidelines, BC Building Code requirements and other regulations.

  • Correcting red-line changes for interior documents prior to issuance

  • Expand and maintain our drawing standards Library

  • Assist CAD Team Lead with maintaining studio’s FTP site

  • Flexibility is a requirement in order to accomplish mandatory deadlines of construction documents with ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

  • Creativity is required in order to develop new and innovative solutions for interior millwork and architectural features

Qualifications:

  • Recognized Certificate or Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent from an accredited Institution

  • Mastery of AutoCAD LT

  • Proficiency of REVIT software preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Strong understanding of interior architecture

  • Efficient time management essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

  • Ability to work successfully independently and as part of a team
