Principal – RID IDC IIDA BApD LEED AP
Ada received her diploma in Interior Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Richmond, BC, where she graduated with Honours in 1998, and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Applied Design in 1999.
Prior to co-founding BYU Design, Ada amassed specialized experience through local design firms, focusing primarily on multi-unit residential and hospitality projects both locally and internationally.
Ada holds an impressive collection of Interior Design designations. She passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam, is a Registered Interior Designer (RID) with the Interior Design Institute of BC (IDIBC), and holds the coveted title of Fellow (FIDC) with Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). She is a Professional Member of the Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC), and the International Interior Designer Association (IIDA). Ada became a LEED accredited professional in 2009 and holds the title LEED AP. She was also an active volunteer for IDC, where she served as President from 2013 to 2014, and currently is on the Board of Governors. In the past, she has held the VP Communications Director’s seat on the IDIBC, a director position on the Interior Designers Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) as the Canadian Director, and has served many active years on the NCIDQ examination committee for developing the written exam.
